Fairy fort in Clonagonnell, County Cavan: a circular rath about twenty-seven metres across, with two earthen banks and outer ditches, entrance likely east. It has been levelled and no longer shows at ground level. What remains is the shape of a lived boundary, made and forgotten, waiting beneath ordinary soil.

An earlier report (OPW 1970) recorded that it comprised a raised circular area (int. dims. 26.8m E-W; 26m N-S) enclosed by two earthen banks with external fosses. Original entrance was probably at E. Site has been levelled. Not visible at ground level. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995).
