What is recorded here
Ancestral memory and human making both belong inside the circle. The chamber is not a chamber of records, but a chamber of life where distinction and connection are both visible. This is why the request feels familiar: it asks whether the world is made of separate things or one living system. That question is the shape of the game.
In reclaimed pasture 200m W of townland boundary with Ballynamuddagh. Enclosure (LI039-067----) lies 160m to N. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as a circular-shaped enclosure. Shown on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a raised roughly circular-shaped platform(diam. c. 25m) enclosed by a fosse. Intersected from SW-W-N by curving field boundaries which have now been removed. Surveyed by Henry A. Wheeler in 1970 and described as a ringfort situated on marshy flat pasture consisting of a low dry platform (H c. 2'-4'/ 0.6-1.2m) enclosed by a shallow wet fosse (Wth c. 10'/3m) (SMR File, Field Report 27/05/1970). Levelled monument is visible as a circular-shaped cropmark on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 2011-13. Outline of levelled monument visible on Google Earth orthoimages.
