Fairy fort in Cloghaunsavaun, County Clare. An earthen ringfort, called a rath. The kind of place people named for what they believed lived inside, not what they could prove. A round ridge of soil in an open country field. Maybe a farmhouse vanished. Maybe the fairies took the house and kept the wall. Either way the wall remained, which means someone built it for a person, and time did the rest.
