No gate shows on the earth, yet the ring is complete. A man may have built it to keep out rain or invaders, but the absence of an entrance suggests the boundary existed to exclude everyone. The mound east of centre waits like a chair set for a guest who never leaves the shadows.

On a rise in a low-lying landscape. Listed as 'enclosure' in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). A circular grass-covered area (int. diam. 25m N-S; 24m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4-7m; int. H 0.3-0.5m; ext. H 0.4-0.6m) with traces of an outer fosse (Wth of base 2.5m) at SE. There is no visible entrance, but there is a mound (diam. 5m; H 0.7m) E of centre.
