What is recorded here

Not a fortress for men but a chamber for the fairies, the Clogh East ring stood thirty metres across until ploughs erased it. The land still remembers through scattered stones and hidden depth, waiting for human eyes to stop demanding proof. What was built for visibility was destroyed for record-keeping, yet the chamber continues its work beneath ordinary sight.

In tillage, on gentle N-facing slope. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) on 1841 OS 6-inch map, has been levelled. No trace of monument evident when inspected. In ploughed field, area of site is noticeably stony, but there is no discernible pattern to distribution of stones nor any noticeable soil colouration.
