Fairy forts are human ringforts misnamed by legend, and this is one: a circular earthwork in County Cork with a bank, a narrow northern entrance, and cultivation ridges still visible inside. The fairies invented later; the farmers came first.

In rough grazing land, on NNW-facing slope. Roughly circular area (33m N-S; 29m E-W) defined by earthen bank (max. int. H 2m), best preserved N->SW. External fosse (D 0.6m), deepened along SW quadrant to form drain. Entrance (Wth 2m) to N. Remains of cultivation ridges cross interior on N-S axis.
