Irregular earthen platform in Christianstown, County Louth, with faint bank traces and cropmarks suggesting two widely spaced fosses. Local tradition speaks of a cave nearby, adding mystery to the ruined ring. People may have lived, hidden or worshipped there before the land forgot the shape of their days.

The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Irregular platform (int. dims. 30m WSW-ENE, 18m NNW-SSE, H 0.6-2.6m) with slight traces of earthen bank at upper edge from NNW-NNE. Cropmarks (CUCAP, BDG 72) show that these surface remains formed N part of an enclosure with two widely spaced fosses. Tradition of a 'cave' (LH011-095002-) at site.
