Fairy fort in Castlefarm, County Galway: a subcircular earthen ringfort, 33 metres east-west and 28.5 metres north-south, on a prominent rise in rolling grassland. Its bank of earth and stone still stands from south to southwest and northwest to north; elsewhere a scarp completes the circle. A field wall cuts through at north and south, and modern gaps appear at west-southwest and north-northwest. The name suggests people once believed the fairies had built it, while the shape suggests human hands made a home, defensible or domestic, on open land.

Subcircular rath (E-W 33m, N-S 28.5m), in fair condition, defined by a bank of earth and stone from S to SW and from NW to N; elsewhere a scarp forms the enclosing element.
