Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Cartronaglogh is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Cartronaglogh, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a shelf of a southwest-facing slope and contains a circular grass and rush-covered area measuring 26 metres across. An earthen bank surrounds the circle, while an outer fosse appears as a band of rushes. The entrance faces east, and field banks slightly truncate the fosse at the east and south.
On a shelf of a SW-facing slope. Circular grass and rush-covered area (diam. 26m N-S; 26m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.7-4.5m; int. H 0.05-0.4m; ext. H 0.6-0.9m) SW-N-SSE which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.6m) elsewhere and an outer fosse (Wth 2-3m) represented by a band of rushes. The entrance (Wth 2.6m) is at E, and the fosse is slightly truncated by field banks at E and S.
