Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Cartronabree is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Cartronabree, County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies flat to undulating ground near Ballysadare Bay and consists of an oval raised area enclosed by a bank. The eastern entrance has a corresponding ramp, while a zig-zag hollow in the western interior may mark a collapsed underground passage.
Situated on flat to undulating ground near Ballysadare Bay. Comprises an oval raised area (int. dims. 23m E-W by 17m N-S) enclosed by a bank (Wth 3m, H 0.70m). The entrance is on the E ( Wth 1.80m) with a corresponding ramp. In the W part of the site interior a raised area, situated next to the bank, has a zig-zag shaped hollow which may be the remains of a collapsed Man-made underground passage (SL020-035002-).
