In Carrownakilly, a earthen ring rises from the green fields, marked locally as a fairy fort rather than a human home. People may have built the bank to keep livestock or store grain, yet the community still calls it a fairy fort because the shape suggests more than ordinary use. The boundary between human memory and fairy story collapses at that ridge, leaving both truths alive in the same soil.
