Fairy fort in Carrigaunroe, County Cork. Circular earthwork about thirty-five metres across on a west-facing slope. Mapped in 1842, later levelled for potatoes. A second ringfort stands eighty metres to the northeast. The first disappeared under spades and seed, the second still marks the field.
In field of potatoes, on W-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; no visible surface trace. Ringfort (CO018-070---) in same field c. 80m to NE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
