Fairy fort in Carrickleck, County Meath, is a circular earthen ringfort with a grass-covered interior, overgrown bank, surrounding fosse, and a narrow SSE entrance. It sits on a SW-facing slope near a small stream, partly merged into the hillslope and still marked by field banks. People may have lived, kept animals, or simply avoided the place because fairy forts are said to belong elsewhere.

Situated towards the bottom of a SW-facing slope with a small E-W stream circling around it SE-SW c. 60m distant. This is a circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 31m N-S; 28.5m WNW-ESE) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (at ESE: Wth of base 5m; int. H 0.9m; ext. H 1.5m) that melds into the hillslope NW-NE, with a fosse (at ESE: Wth of top 6.4m; ext. D 1m) ESE-S-W. The original entrance (Wth of base 1.8m) is at SSE, and the rath is surrounded by field banks NE-S-SW.
