Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Carrickhenry is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Carrickhenry, County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies a knoll in undulating pasture and consists of a circular site enclosed by an earth and stone bank. The eastern entrance is lined with large stones, while an elongated hollow in the southern interior may mark a collapsed underground passage. No ditch is visible around the remains.
Located on a knoll in undulating pasture. Comprises a circular site (int. diam. 21m) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 3.50m, H 0.70m). No indication of a ditch. The entrance is in the E and is lined with a number of large stones. An elongated hollow in the S part of the interior may be the remains of a collapsed Man-made underground passage (SL020-077002-).
