Carnaun and Liscullaun share a boundary that bends around a levelled ringfort, admitting the circle is still worth respecting. Maps from 1840 and 1920 drew its rim before local accounts say it was flattened before 1980. The earth may have forgotten the shape, but the townland line still remembers enough to go around it.

On a slight rise in pasture in undulating countryside. Hachured as a ringfort on the 1840 and 1920 OS 6-inch maps. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). A subcircular area (c. 31m N-S; 29m E-W) defined NE-SSE by a wall with some interior facing stones and with a drystone wall (Wth 0.7m; H 0.6-1m) built on top. Elsewhere a faint scarp defines the perimeter. The townland boundary between Carnaun and Liscullaun curves to respect the site along the E side. The interior slopes slightly to the SE. A fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Carnaun, Liscullaun, is a subcircular early-medieval defensive or domestic site, dated to between the 5th and 10th centuries AD, with a diameter of approximately 31m by 29m. Local folklore associates such sites with the supernatural, often referring to them as dwellings of the fairies or ancient spirits.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
