What is recorded here

Barryroe Bay and the Carhoo coast contain a circular earthwork thirty-six to thirty-seven metres across, with a one-and-a-half-metre bank and shallow outer ditch. It is not a mysterious fairy trap, though that name may have grown from its odd completeness and exposed position on a SE-facing slope. A household, watchdogs and perhaps a child once used the middle, while the bank and ditch marked the boundary between the family and the open country.

In pasture, on SE-facing slope. Circular area (37m N-S; 36m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.4m), with external fosse (D 0.8m) NE->ESE.
