What is recorded here
Fairy fort in Cappanihane: a 30m earthen ring in undulating pasture, its scarped edge and shallow fosse running east to west before fading into the field boundary. The interior slopes upward like a breath held beneath grass, inviting imagination more than certainty. Whatever life moved inside that circle has returned to soil, leaving only shape behind.
In undulating pasture. Circular area (diam. c. 30m) defined by scarped edge (H 0.65m; Wth 1.1m) with external fosse (D 0.5m; Wth 0.6m) E->W; this is abutted at E and W by field boundary. Enclosing element is only barely discernible W->E. Interior slopes up gently towards centre and is under pasture.
