What is recorded here
Fairy forts are not for entry. They belong to the hidden people, and the warning stands even when the ditch has vanished. Cappagh keeps its ring beneath limestone and memory, waiting for respect rather than proof.
In pasture, on break in SW-facing slope. Monument, depicted as arc SE->N of roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 50m) on 1923 OS 6-inch map, has been levelled. No trace of monument evident when inspected. Outcropping limestone makes ground surface very uneven in area of site.
