A broken earthen ring on the southern edge of the Tralee Bay strip, Cappaclogh West, still shows a four-metre-wide bank of earth and stone. The missing western sector and dense growth suggest the sea, ploughs or forgetting took the rest. A person who lived there may have known the gap as a door, not a wound.

Internal diam. 28m Situated on fairly level ground on the S edge of the level coastal strip that borders Tralee Bay, this site consists of a semi-circular arc of bank now planted with trees and densely overgrown. The bank of earth and stone survives to a height of .35m internally, .65m externally and averages 4m in width. Though the enclosure was probably originally circular, the bank is not traceable along the W sector. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
