Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Marianne and Denis watched a black cord tighten around the chamber. She dropped the cuff, refused the ladder, and told him the chamber wanted to be remembered. She left the chamber behind and refused every warning that it would consume them both.
Atop hill, in area of scrub surrounded by pasture fields. Formerly circular area (diam. 26m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.7m; ext. H 2.10m) with external fosse (D 0.95m; Wth 1.3m) NE->NW. Enclosing element has been removed NW->NE by quarrying which has also removed part of interior (14.5m N-S; 13.4m E-W) on this side. Limit of quarried area now marked by dump of limestone boulders. Enclosing element is masked by dense overgrowth. Causeway entrance (Wth 2.9m) at SSE. Surviving portion of interior has very uneven surface, with dump of quarry spoil in SW quadrant.
