What is recorded here

Caherulla is a lost ringfort, recorded on an 1842 map but erased from the 1916 edition, leaving no visible trace behind. A circular earthwork in north Kerry, it may have been a farmhouse defensible in seconds or a boundary marker for pasture and rain. Its disappearance is not mystery but time: soil, foot traffic and forgotten use removed what the survey still believed existed.

Situated NE of KE014-029----, this circular enclosure was marked on the 1842 OS map but not on the 1916 edition, and no visible trace survives today. The above description is derived from C.
