What is recorded here

No fairy ever flew there, but people once circled the rampart and called it theirs. The fort stands on a Galway slope, twenty-seven metres across, with a bank still proud at the north west and a sharp scarp cutting the east. Cattle graze around it now, unaware they tread a room built for human ambition.
