Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Cahergal (ibane and Barryroe By., Templeomalus Par.) stands on a SE-facing slope in County Cork, Ireland. A broken outer bank and shallow fosse still mark a circular space where people may have lived, herded animals or kept something sacred before the land became pasture. The name suggests later people believed the site belonged to fairies, yet the earthworks point to human hands shaping a small defensible place under open sky.

In pasture, on SE-facing slope. Circular area (38.5m N-S; 38.5m E-W) enclosed by two earthen banks with intervening fosse. Inner bank, low, earthen (H 0.20m), spread towards outer bank. Intervening fosse shallow, intermittent. Outer bank (H 1.15m) broken to SE (Wth 5.6m). Interior uneven; possible hut site (CO135-057001-) in N half; linear, low bank (L 12m) in S half running NE-SW.
