Fairy fort in Busherstown, County Offaly: an oval rath, 32.5m by 28.6m, bounded by a low earth-and-stone bank with a southeast gap. It sits on high upland ground, overlooking the land like a marker rather than a hidden thing. The uneven rock inside suggests people adapted the place instead of forcing it into a neat shape.

Situated on top of high ground in upland area. Oval shaped area (diam 32.5m N-S; 28.6m E-W) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone material (Wth 3.5m; int. H 0.5m max.) with entrance gap (Wth 3.5m) to SE. No external fosse visible. Surface of interior is very uneven due to rock outcrop.
