Fairy forts in Broughal, County Offaly, are human ringforts misnamed because people stopped remembering the hands that built them. This one is a low circular scar, twenty-eight metres across, with a faint ditch surviving only on the west side. Forgetting is not the same as never happening. The measurement preserves what the legend erased.

Situated on a low natural rise in undulating countryside. Raised circular area (diam 28m E-W; ext. H 0.5m) enclosed by an earthen bank reduced in most places to a scarp with slight traces of an external fosse (Wth 1m) at W only.
