Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Fairy fort in Bracklon, County Longford: a lost ringfort in low pasture, recorded 1977 as a 24m by 22m raised area with a low earth-and-stone bank and shallow fosse, its entrance no longer recognisable. The land may have taken back what people built there, leaving only a shape the grass forgets.
In low-lying, reclaimed pasture. A report in 1977 (SMR file) recorded a raised subcircular area (c. 24m E-W; c. 22m N-S) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone with a shallow external fosse. The original entrance was not recognisable. Not visible at ground level. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 26 November 2011
