What is recorded here
No visible trace remains of the Boughilbo ringfort, though a 1923 map marked a twenty-metre embankment on the steep slope. The earth has been levelled into pasture, erasing the boundary between human history and fairy tale. What was once a defended home or marker has become invisible, leaving only the memory of a circle drawn in soil.
In reclaimed pasture, on steep SE-facing slope. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m) on 1923 OS 6-inch map, has been levelled. No trace of monument evident when inspected.
