What is recorded here

Boleybeg holds a thirty-metre earthen ring where human hands shaped soil into a boundary centuries before written memory. The bank still stands half a metre high beside a shallow ditch, marking a Neolithic or Bronze Age home that favoured practical defense over grand display. Fairy fort is the nickname people gave it later, projecting magic onto what was probably a ordinary residence. The geometry remains exact even when the purpose becomes legend.

A subcircular area (max. dims. c. 34m E-W; 30m N-S) defined by a bank (Wth 2.5m, int. H 0.5m) and a shallow external fosse (Wth 2m). Possible original entrance at NE.
