What is recorded here
Bolane's fairy fort vanished before human memory, leaving only a ridge of limestone and scrub where a circular embankment once stood. The 1841 map captured its ghost, but boots and time erased the rest. What remains is a absence shaped like a room, inviting imagination to fill the hole it left behind.
In scrub-covered area, atop ridge, in area of outcropping limestone. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure on 1841 OS 6-inch map, has been levelled. No trace of monument evident when inspected.
