Fairy fort in Boherascrub West, County Cork: a levelled 28m earthen ring on a north-facing pasture slope, its shallow scarp and faint outer ditch still marking the old circular enclosure. It appeared on the 1842, 1905 and 1937 maps, so people saw and drew the shape long before it became a flat saucer in grass. Perhaps cattle walked through its northern gap while children called it a fairy fort, giving the forgotten ring a life of its own.

In pasture, on N-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 28m) on 1842, 1905 and 1937 OS 6-inch maps. Levelled; circular saucer-shaped area (28m E-W; 26m N-S) defined by scarp (H 0.25m); faint trace of external fosse as shallow depression. Entrance (Wth c. 5m) to N.
