What is recorded here

Absent from official charts yet remembered by locals, the Boheeshil ringfort hides north of the village houses. It escapes modern mapping despite surviving in regional knowledge. This is a classic case of human memory outlasting institutional record. The land keeps what surveys discard.

A 'lios' was recorded N of the houses in Boheeshil village (Ó Cíobháin 1978, 43). Not marked on the OS maps, its precise location could not be determined though the site was known of locally.
