No fairy ever flew there, though people believed it. A human hand built the ring, cut the edge, and set stones against the slope. The ground still holds that shape because someone lived inside it, not because mystery replaced the truth.

In rough pasture, on break in N-facing hill-slope; terrain falls away sharply to the E and W. Circular area (32m N-S; 30m E-W) defined by scarped edge (H 1.35m; Wth 5.4m) NNE->N but with a dry-stone field wall (H 0.45m; Wth 2m) running along top of scarp S->N, and enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.55m; ext. H 1.35m) N->NNE. Interior, under pasture, level except along W verge which dips down before it meets enclosing wall. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 26 August 2011
