Bishop's Island holds a thirty-metre earthen ring on a west-facing slope, its bank rising two metres above pasture while briars and ferns strangle the ancient boundary. The shallow fosse cuts from south-southwest to northwest, framing a grass-covered interior where human purposes have faded into legend. Fairy fort is the local name, but the measured earth suggests something more deliberate than fantasy. Perhaps people lived there before memory slipped, shaping a defensible circle on open land while the sea watched from below.

In pasture, on W -facing slope. Circular area (30m N-S; 29m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2.25m) with shallow external fosse SSW -> NW.
