An earthen ringfort called Ráth Colláin once rose in Benmore, marked on maps from the 1840s and 1910s before disappearing entirely. Collán may have lived there, raised a wall, and vanished from memory while the land kept his shape for centuries. Now the fort is gone, smooth under grass or forgotten beneathfootpaths, leaving only a name to prove it existed.

Cullaun Fort/Ráth Colláin (ringfort of Collán (personal name)). Marked on the 1841-42 and 1915-16 OS maps as a circular enclosure, it has been completely levelled and no visible trace survives.
