Fairy fort in Beagh Glebe, County Cavan: a hidden rath on the east slope, marked Fort in 1836 but reduced to Site of by 1876. The land swallowed its own edges, leaving no wall for hands to touch. What remains is a absence shaped like a room, waiting for someone to remember the difference between seeing and believing.

Marked 'Fort' on OS 1836 ed. and 'Site of' on 1876 ed. Situated on the E slope of rising ground. Not visible at ground level. Probably the site of a rath.
