Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Bawn (longford By.) is a substantial earth and stone bank enclosing a raised subcircular area on a low pasture rise. The original entrance has vanished beneath soil and time, leaving the circle closed to human memory but perhaps still open to the beings who never needed doors. Cattle graze around its waterlogged fosse, unaware that they feed inside a boundary drawn before roads, before names, before the county itself existed.

On a low NW-SE rise in pasture. A raised subcircular area (41m N-S; 38m E-W) enclosed by a substantial bank of earth and stone (Wth 6-9.8m; H 0.75-1.5m) with a waterlogged external fosse (Wth c. 7.2-10m; D 0.4-1.35m), which has been partially infilled in recent years. The original entrance is not recognisable. Compiled by: Patrick F.
