What is recorded here

Barnacragh holds a subcircular earthen ringfort thirty metres across, its bank still defined in gently undulating Galway grassland. A four-metre eastern gap may be the original entrance, while faint traces of an external fosse persist from the northwest to north-northwest. The site preserves the shape of a lived boundary, where a family, herder or local group may have moved livestock, stored gear or marked territory beneath open sky.

In gently undulating grassland. Subcircular rath (ENE-WSW 30m, NNW-SSE 28m), in fair condition, defined by a bank. Traces of a possible external fosse are visible from NW to NNW.
