Barefield and Gortlumman hold a forgotten ringfort where clay still stands against time. Whether human hands built it or fairy legs dashed it into shape, the soil remembers pressure and purpose. People may have lived inside its curve before forgetting the name, leaving behind a hollow that breathes in storm and holds its shape in drought.
