Mature trees strangle the earthen bank of the Banteer ringfort, hiding a circular home thirty-eight metres wide inside ordinary pasture. People built the ridge and dug the shallow ditch before written memory, yet cows and fences now treat the ancient boundary as a ordinary field edge. The fort looks like a forgotten garden bed because nature reclaimed the stones and soil, but the deliberate curve still resists the straight lines of modern farming.

In level pasture. Circular area (c. 38m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.9m; ext. H 1.15m); external fosse (D 0.4m) ESE->SSW. Bank overgrown with mature trees; incorporated into field fence system to S and W; break (Wth c. 1.5m) to NNW. Interior heavily overgrown.
