Fairy fort in Ballyvelone West is an oval ringfort, 32 metres long and 26 metres wide, enclosed by a low earth and stone bank on an east-facing slope. Its interior rises two metres on the east side to compensate for the hillslope, suggesting whoever built it understood the land well enough to correct it rather than fight it. It sits in pasture now, quiet and unmarked, but the shape remains deliberate: a small level world made on a tilted hill.

In pasture, on E-facing slope. Oval area (32m N-S; 26m E-W) enclosed by low earth and stone bank (H 0.65m), stone-faced in parts. Interior raised (H 2m) on E side to compensate for hillslope.
