Fairy forts are not fairy forts. They are human rings, built by human hands, and the fairy name is a later story laid over forgotten people. In Ballyrobert that ring is gone, levelled into tillage on a NE-facing slope above the Bride valley. Only a stone-faced field fence still bends around its western curve, and the interior remains stony where the earth remembers the shape. What is missing is not mystery. It is a life that stopped being seen.

In tillage, on NE-facing slope; extensive view over Bride valley to N. Hachured as circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map; now levelled. Stone-faced earthen field fence running N-S respects curve of enclosure to W; area of interior stony. No other visible surface trace of site.
