What is recorded here

Magic is not required to explain why people feared or revered the fort. The measurements leave no doubt about its shape or purpose. A ring is a ring, whether built by humans or claimed by fairy stories. What interests me is the part the numbers cannot touch. The dataset preserves the visible facts. The chamber preserves the life that those facts never recorded.

Internal diameter 22m N-S, 15.6m E-W This univallate rath is much disturbed due to modern dumping. It consists of an oval area enclosed by an earthen bank, which can be best defined to the N through W to S; elsewhere, it is much disturbed.
