Fairy fort in Ballynascraw, prucklishtown: a D-shaped earthen ringfort on a NE-facing pasture slope, with a low stone-and-earth bank, a scarp, and an external fosse visible from the south-west. The entrance has disappeared under grass and time, yet the shape still reads as a place set apart for life. People may have lived, herded, hidden or worshipped there before the field swallowed the doorway.

On a NE-facing slope in pasture. A raised D-shaped area (33m NE-SW; 30m NW-SE), with a straight E side, enclosed from ESE-W-NNE by a low bank of earth and stone (Wth 3.5-4.3m; H 0.6-1.1m) and elsewhere defined by a scarp (H 1.35m). An external fosse (Wth 5.5m; D 1-1.8m) is visible from S-SW-W. The original entrance is not recognisable. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 23 November 2011
