Ballynahoulort holds a earthen ringfort, a circular defense built by human hands yet named for fairy mischief. The soil remains packed into a visible boundary, marking a place where people once lived, guarded, or abandoned before memory faded. Local tradition transforms the structure into a fairy fort, suggesting the building outlived its human makers and entered the realm of story.
