What is recorded here
Fairy fort in Ballynahaha, County Limerick: a ringfort, now levelled, its circular shadow faint in pasture. It stood on a north-facing slope, large enough to hold lives, quiet enough to erase them. What remains is a slight rise, remembered more often in story than seen.
In pasture, on N-facing slope. Monument, depicted on 1924 OS 6-inch map as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 50m), has been levelled. Very slightly rise, roughly circular in area, is discernible at location of site.
