No credible witness record survives for the Ballynagun West ringfort. It remains an unsteady mark in the county landscape, perhaps a abandoned yard, a forgotten trap or a failed attempt to control that area. The missing evidence does not make the place innocent; it makes the story harder to force into a clean shape.
