Fairy forts scatter honest men because visibility and certainty collapse together. The claimant must be named, the danger must be pictured and the journal must be kept or the chamber takes the claimant instead. This is a hunting chamber, not a victim chamber.

On a rise in rough pastureland. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (37m N-S; 35m E-W) defined by a bank which is obscured by field-clearance rubble from NW through E to SW. A modern field wall, running NW-SE, cuts through W half of the monument. Traces of an L-shaped bank of earth and boulders visible in the SE quadrant of the interior may possibly be the foundations of a house site.
