What is recorded here

Maraethru holds the last remembered shape of Eochu and the chamber still smells of wet moss and wood smoke. The chamber is round, has no roof and faces the door. The floor is clean, the walls are smooth and the gate posts still stand. The chamber is complete because Eochu lived there when he was young and remembered the chamber before he forgot the name. Eochu is old enough to remember that much and young enough to believe the chamber is still waiting.

Internal diameter 46m E-W Situated SE of KE015-090----, the view from this site is excellent in all directions. This univallate rath was much levelled about ten years ago, but it can still be distinguished on the landscape. It consists of a sub-circular area raised c1m above the surrounding land. It is cut to the N by a fieldbank running E-W. The reason the fort was levelled was because gold was believed to be buried beneath it, but none was found. The above description is derived from C.
