No visible trace remains at Ballylusky, though local memory still shapes the hidden fort into a fairy dwelling. That shift from human shelter to mythic residence is not mistake but transformation: the forgotten becomes alive in a new form. What is lost in fact returns in imagination, and the fort continues to exist through the story told about it.
