On a very slight rise on the flat top of a N-S ridge, on NE corner of ridge. The ridge is slightly higher to the S; is level to N before dropping steeply into the valley; drops steeply to the E into the valley; rises to W a little then drops steeply. There are commanding views in all directions. A circular area (int. diam. 24m) enclosed by a stoney earthen bank (overall Wth 2m; Wth at crest 0.8m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.8m). Entrances at W (Wth 3m) and NE (Wth 3.5m), both of which appear to be original.
